Help my students travel to Mexico!

Dear Donor,

This spring, a diverse group of urban high school students came together to work toward a common goal – a trip to volunteer and study in Mexico. These fifteen young people are dedicated students who want to become the global citizens of our future – actively engaged, culturally aware, and devoted to making a difference in the lives of others. By traveling to Mexico next April, students will have the opportunity to practice the Spanish they have been studying in school, volunteer at a Mexican orphanage, and experience the history and culture of our neighbor to the south.

Our students know that international travel is expensive and that their families will not be able to cover the cost. They are working hard to raise funds by selling school apparel and wristbands, hosting a community dinner complete with home-made Mexican cuisine, and planning a Día de los Muertos party for the fall. However, for the trip to be a success, we need to raise over $30,000, and we need your help.

We are asking you to lend your support to this project in the form of a tax-deductible donation. Your gift will be two-fold; you will be providing an invaluable opportunity to a promising group of Philadelphia students, and they, in turn, will be offering their help to a promising group of Mexican students. We hope we can count on a donation of $100 to $200 to support our efforts. However, please note that any donation amount is always welcomed. And, for a limited time, your donation will be doubled thanks to the generous pledge of an anonymous donor!

We thank you for your time and consideration and look forward to whatever support you can provide. Please visit our page at Chipin.org (see below) to make your tax-deductible donation. For more information or to arrange a visit with one of our students or teachers, please e-mail us at constitutionspanish@gmail.com or call Constitution High School at 215-351-7310 to speak with one of the teachers below.

Many thanks,

Kathleen Melville Jesse Todd Alison McCartney Tracy Goldstein
